My experience of training First Aid has stemmed from my 20-year military service as an Army First Aid Instructor, during this time I have seen the various changes and improvement, that have enhanced the standard of First Aid.

As a Combat Medical Technician I soon learned the responsibility to ensure that, when training First Aid, it is important to maintain your skills as a trainer and to ensure you pass on to your students the same high standard.

Since leaving the army I have become a Community First Responder for my local Ambulance Service.

To maintain my hands on experience, I am an Advance First Aider and Trainer with a private medical provider.

I feel it is the responsibility of every trainer to ensure they pass on quality training, to build up the confidence of the students, and by gaining experience I feel I have the ability to do right by my students.

I am a member of  UK Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) EMT-R (Grade E)
